Adulthood-only expression of Tnpo^HMJ23009 under the control of Scer\GAL4^da.Switch.PT or Scer\GAL4^{elav.Switch.PO} (induced by RU486) results in shortened lifespan. Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^ninaE.PU leads to electroretinograms showing decreased ON and OFF transients and decreased light coincident receptor potential amplitude.
