Expression of HP1e^rescue rescues the male sterility seen in HP1e^null mutant males.

Crossing to females expressing HP1e^{Scer\UAS.P\T.cLa} during oogenesis under the control of Scer\GAL4^nos.PG does not suppress the mitotic arrest phenotype seen when HP1e^null mutant males are crossed to wild type females.
