Mipp1KO/Mipp1KO embryos display tracheal phenotypes, with significantly elongated dorsal trunks and a significantly decreased percentage of dorsal branches fused with their contralateral partners. Mipp1KO/Mipp1KO embryos have a significantly reduced percentage of intercalated dorsal branches and number of filopodia per dorsal branch.
