Compared to wild type, Mrp4^M1/Mrp4^M2 flies have reduced viability in response to oxidative stress (paraquat, hydrogen peroxide or hyperoxia) and Mrp4^M1/Mrp4^M1 flies have reduced viability in response to oxidative stress (hydrogen peroxide).

Mrp4^M1/Mrp4^M1 flies have a shortened lifespan compared to wild type.

Climbing ability in Mrp4^M1/Mrp4^M2 flies more than 10 days old is significantly worse than wild type.

Reduced climbing ability in Mrp4^M1/Mrp4^M2 flies is rescued to wild type levels (at 10 and 30 days old) and increased beyond wild type levels (at 40 days old) by a single copy of puc^E69.
