Description

A T2A-GAL4 cassette has been inserted immediately downstream of the final AstA-R2 codon. This results in expression of a bicistronic transcript that produces the AstA-R2 and GAL4 proteins (the T2A sequence mediates ribosomal skipping, allowing the GAL4 driver to be translated independently of AstA-R2).
