Tudor-SN1236/Df(3L)BSC125 (2-day old males) have swollen apical tips of testes containing excessive numbers of early spermatogenic cells (36% show this phenotype). Tudor-SN0614/Tudor-SN1236 (45%) or Tudor-SN1120/Tudor-SN1236 (78%) transheterozygotes show the same phenotype. Tudor-SN0614/Tudor-SN1236 males have initially normal but progressively reduced fertility as they get older (around 20% male fertility at 12-15 days old), compared to wild type.
