Description

UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of a mutant form of Rab3 which lacks the three most C-terminal amino acid residues. This is predicted to disrupt association of the protein with the membrane.

      Active zones are similar to wild type at the neuromuscular junction (NMJ) of third instar larvae (more posterior segments, 5 and 6) with expression of Rab3ΔC.Scer\UAS driven by Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO (females maintained on fly food with RU486 for 2 days before mating and egg-laying on RU486 food).
