10bp deletion resulting in a frameshift that removes the last 6 amino acids of the SH2 domain and introduces a single amino acid followed by a stop codon, thus removing the entire SH3 domain.
10 nt are deleted at the end of the SH2 domain leading to the loss of the last 6 amino acids of the SH2 domain. The deletion causes a frameshift, after which there is one novel amino acid (R) and a stop codon.
Vast majority of ommatidia from VavΔSH3 mutants show normal numbers of cone and primary pigment cells in the pupal retina with only very few ommatidia containing extra cells.
