      Comments

      The expression of rdgBScer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PU rescues the following retinal defects observed in rdgB9 homozygotes: the severe decrease in electroretinogram peak amplitude, the decreased light sensitivity, and the severe retinal degeneration in flies exposed to 12 h:12 h light-dark regime. The expression of rdgBScer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PF also rescues the decreased light sensitivity observed in rdgB9 homozygotes.

      The progressive retinal degeneration, reduced electroretinogram amplitude and sensitivity to light of increasing intensity characteristic for rdgB9 mutant adults can be fully rescued by expression of rdgBScer\UAS.cYa under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PU.
