        The progressive retinal degeneration as well as reduced electroretinogram amplitude characteristic for rdgB9 mutant adults cannot be rescued by expression of rdgBT59E.PITP.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PU, although the rate of retinal degeneration is somewhat slower in rdgBT59E.PITP.Scer\UAS expressing flies than in the rdgB9-only mutants.
