Expression of either one or two copies of iclnScer\UAS.cBa under the control of any of the following: Scer\GAL4c179, Scer\GAL4how-24B or Scer\GAL4da.PU leads to lethality at both 29[o]C and 25[o]C, in the case of the Scer\GAL4G7 partial lethality is observed at 25[o]C while the flies are completely lethal at 29[o]C. Expression under Scer\GAL4elav.PU or Scer\GAL4RapGAP1-OK6 does not significantly decrease adult viability compared to controls at either of the two temperatures. When two copies of iclnScer\UAS.cBa are used, expression under Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR at 29[o]C is also lethal and adult viability is reduced at 25[o]C.

Adult flies expressing iclnScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR are completely flightless and show 'droopy' wing posture, they also display significant drop in locomotor activity both during day and at night compared to controls.

Expression of iclnScer\UAS.cBa under the control of Scer\GAL4how-24B leads to an increased length (length/width axial ratio) of pupae compared to controls.
