      Expression of TorsinScer\UAS.cNa driven by Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL, Scer\GAL4C57 or Scer\GAL4elav-C155 results in significant increases in the number of type I boutons at the larval neuromuscular junction, compared to controls. Flies with expression of TorsinScer\UAS.cNa driven by Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL or Scer\GAL4C57 or Scer\GAL4elav-C155 have similar lifespans and locomotor activity as controls. Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL>TorsinScer\UAS.cNa flies show significant resistance to paraquat but no difference to hydrogen peroxide, compared to controls.
