Detailed Description

Reference

Neither the adult muscle morphology nor functionality is affected in both young and aged adult LUBELCC-SS mutant flies (climbing ability of aged adults is normal) and they show normal survival rate upon infection with either Escherichia coli (Gram-negative) or Micrococcus luteus (Gram-positive), however the longevity of LUBELCC-SS homozygous mutant flies is reduced compared to wild-type controls and they also display decreased survival rate in a heat-shock stress assay.
