      Expression of Vps35dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PU results in an increased number of rhodopsin1-containing vesicles per ommatidium in adult flies, both in the dark and after illumination.

      The abnormal drop in the number of rhodopsin1-containing vesicles per ommatidium during illumination observed in adult flies expressing either PldScer\UAS.cRa or garzScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PU is fully suppressed by co-expression of Vps35dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance the RNAi efficiency).
