The abnormal drop in the number of rhodopsin1-containing vesicles per ommatidium during illumination seen in adult flies expressing garzScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PU is partially rescued by co-expression of Vps35dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency).

The light-dependent retinal degeneration observed in Pld3.1 homozygous adults is suppressed by combination with laza22 (in homozygous state) or by expression of garzScer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PU in the mutant background.

The abnormal drop in the number of rhodopsin1-containing vesicles per ommatidium upon illumination observed in adult flies expressing PldScer\UAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PU is fully suppressed by co-expression of garzGD13940 (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance the RNAi efficiency).
