Description

A 600bp fragment of the Ilp8 promoter, centred on the hpo-responsive element (HRE), has been replaced with a mutant fragment in which the three putative sd protein-binding sites have been mutated. A single attP site is present upstream of the HRE, and a single loxP site is present downstream of the HRE as a result of the reintegration event.

      Ilp8PFΔ123/Ilp8KO transheterozygous adults display increased level of fluctuating asymmetry in the size of their wings. No such effect is observed in either of the heterozygotes.
