      Tagged Tm1 protein (mCherry fused in frame to N-terminus of endogenous Tm1-I/C, called Tm1KI.mCherry) localizes throughout the cytoplasm of germline and somatic cells, including border cells and polar cells. Tm1-I/C accumulates at the posterior pole of the oocyte, where Tm1 is known to promote osk mRNA localization and pole plasm assembly. In contrast, the canonical isoforms are not present in germ plasm.
