Deletion that lacks the entire coding region of the A isoform of Eip93F, and all but the N-terminal 32 codons of the B isoform coding sequence. Generated by FLP-mediated recombination between the FRT sites in the P{XP}Eip93Fd07598 and PBac{WH}Eip93Ff01771 insertions.

Eip93FΔ1 homozygotes survive to pharate adult stage and show cuticular defects. Developmental rate of Eip93FΔ1/Df(3R)Exel6188 mutants (time from egg-laying to pupariation) is comparable to controls and the mutants display only slightly increased persistence of larval salivary gland in the pupa.
