Description

The deleted genomic Ca-α1T DNA in the progenitor has been replaced with the deleted genomic region plus an additional GFP coding sequence and linker sequence in-frame after the start codon of Ca-α1T. This results in an N-terminally GFP-tagged Ca-α1T under the control of its own endogenous promoter.

      Ca-α1TGFP is expressed broadly throughout the adult brain labelling the same neurons as Ca-α1TGal4. Strongest expression is seen in the adult central complex. In the mushroom body there is more expression in the calyx than in the lobes and in the pedunculus expression is limited to the pedunculus neck of adult mushroom body.
