Description

A mutated copy of the Tpi locus (containing the amino acid replacement T73R), with the open reading frame tagged at the C-terminal end with CFP, has been inserted into the attP site present in TpiattP. This mutation is predicted to result in disruption of dimerization of the Tpi protein.

      TpiT73R-CFP/TpiT73R transheterozygotes exhibit an increase in heat sensitivity and an increase in bang sensitivity during adulthood, and their third instar larval neuromuscular junction neurons show insignificant changes in the numbers of boutons and branches, as compared to controls.
