Description

A mutated copy of the Tpi locus (containing the amino acid replacement G74E), with the open reading frame tagged at the C-terminal end with CFP, has been inserted into the attP site present in TpiattP. This mutation is predicted to result in disruption of dimerization of the Tpi protein.

      TpiG74E-CFP/TpiG74E transheterozygotes exhibit an increase in heat sensitivity and an increase in bang sensitivity during adulthood, while showing insignificant changes in the numbers of boutons and branches at the third instar larval neuromuscular junction, as compared to controls.
