Scer\GAL4Mef2.247/ProsapUAS.Tag:MYC fails to rescue Prosap8k
The larval mushroom body calyx glomerulus defects observed in Prosap8k-homozygotes (i.e. smaller size, uni-lobed, and decreased number of antennal lobe projection neuron presynaptic bouton protrusions) are rescued by the expression of ProsapScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU alone (fully), Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO in combination with a 3 day RU486 treatment during the larval stage (fully), Scer\GAL4GH146 in combination with Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 (almost fully), or Scer\GAL4GH146 alone (partially), but not Scer\GAL4Mef2.247 alone. The similar adult mushroom body calyx glomerulus defects of these mutants are also rescued by the expression of ProsapScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PU alone.
