Expression of BEAF-32VDRC.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4ey.PH and Scer\GAL4GMR.long, in combination with a Dicer-2 transgene to enhance RNAi efficiency, causes a dramatic increase in the proportion of pale R8 photoreceptors and a reciprocal decrease in the proportion of yellow R8 photoreceptors, compared to controls.
