Expression of BEAF-32^VDRC.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4^ey.PH and Scer\GAL4^GMR.long, in combination with a Dicer-2 transgene to enhance RNAi efficiency, causes a dramatic increase in the proportion of pale R8 photoreceptors and a reciprocal decrease in the proportion of yellow R8 photoreceptors, compared to controls.
