Most of the coding sequence of Obp28a has been deleted and replaced with a dsRed cassette and an attP PhiC31 site.
Similarly to controls, Obp28adel homozygous adults placed in a space with two separate regions of high and low humidity show the expected hygrotaxis behavior towards the higher humidity region. These flies also do not show significant defects in survival under desiccation or 70% humidity conditions, as compared to controls.
Obp19adel, Obp28adel has abnormal chemosensory behavior | adult stage phenotype
Obp19adel, Obp28adel has abnormal oviposition phenotype
Obp19adel, Obp28adel has abnormal neurophysiology | adult stage | chemical conditional phenotype
Obp19adel, Obp28adel has antennal basiconic sensillum ab4 | chemical conditional phenotype
Obp28adel and Obp19adel homozygous mutant adults do not have gross defects in the size, morphology or position of basiconic sensilla, compared to controls; mutant ab5 and ab6 sensilla have no difference in their responses to odorants, compared to controls; mutant ab4 sensilla have stronger responses to linoleic acid, but not other odorants, and females have a shifted preference for oviposition on lower concentrations of linoleic acid, compared to controls.
Obp28adel and Df(3R)Obp83-ab homozygous mutant adults do not have gross defects in the size, morphology or position of basiconic sensilla, compared to controls; mutant ab1 and ab2 sensilla have no difference in their responses to odorants, compared to controls.
Obp28adel, Obp19adel and Df(3R)Obp83-ab homozygous mutant adults do not have gross defects in the size, morphology or position of basiconic sensilla, compared to controls; mutant ab3 sensilla have no difference in their responses to odorants, compared to controls.
