UAS regulates expression of a nom cDNA clone (RE52861). (The clone contains two point mutations resulting in amino acid substitutions without changing the reading frame: an AAA to AGA mutation in exon 1 resulting in a K17R substitution, and a CCT to ACT change in exon 2 resulting in a P159T substitution. These mutations are repaired to the wild-type sequence in this construct.)
