Description

A 2.3 kb-deletion that removes 1161 bp of the Vps33B gene including the first three exons and part of the fourth exon, a total 736bp (the first 196 amino acids) of Vps33B coding sequences. (1,073 bp in the upstream non-coding region at the 5' end of the neighboring Fur1 gene is also deleted.)

Detailed Description

Reference

Vps33B5.20 homozygotes show a 'blemished wing' phenotype. Upon infection, adults display a significant decrease in lifespan and their hemocytes, although able to phagocyte heat-killed E.coli bacteria, are unable to clear them, as compared to infected controls.
