      sdtΔ3 stage 10 embryos show defects in posterior midgut remodeling, as shown by significantly fewer PGCs migrating through the posterior midgut epithelium, as compared to controls. In mutant eye discs, cells fail to form the expected six-cell rosettes and instead form elongated structures favoring early R3/R4 contacts.
