Expressing HUWE1^EY01689 under the control of Scer\GAL4^ptc-559.1 does not lead to notable changes in the size of the larval salivary gland, but the nuclei are slightly larger, as compared to controls; there is no significant change in endoreplication (assessed by EdU labelling), as compared to controls. Larvae do not show any obvious morphological defect.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4^GMR.PF does not have an obvious effect in the eye.
