Approximately 67% of homozygous adult escapers have very weak or no locomotor activity rhythms under constant darkness conditions.

mir-279Δ1.2 mutant egg chamber clones exhibit extra cells in between the nurse cells, indicative of an increase in JAK/STAT signalling.

Approximately 50% of egg chambers from induced mir-279Δ1.2 clones exhibit ectopic cells or clusters of cells. The number of border cells within the main cluster remains normal, indicating the abnormal invasion of follicle cells.

mir-279Δ1.2 mutant egg chambers exhibit frequent border-cell migration defects.
