      Expressing bchsUAS.1.GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.PU leads to a severe decrease in the number of RP2 motor neurons, compared to controls.

      Cultured bchs58M/Df(2L)cl7 larval neurons exhibit significantly more Atg5-positive vesicle, but no changes in the number of Atg8-positive autophagosomes, as compared to controls; however, additional expression of bchsUAS.1.GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.PU leads to a severe increase in the number of autophagosomes.

      Cultured bchs17M/Df(2L)cl7 larval neurons exhibit significantly more Atg5-positive vesicles, and significantly fewer Atg8-positive autophagosomes, as compared to controls. Additional expression of bchsUAS.1.GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4eve.PU fully suppresses the fewer autophagosomes and even leads to a severe increase in their number.
