UASp regulatory sequences drive expression of polo in which seven amino acid residues of the nuclear localization signal have been mutated to alanines and which also carries a T182D amino acid replacement (phosphomimetic mutation). The coding sequence is tagged at the C-terminal end with GFP. Synonymous codon replacements have been introduced into the transgene, so that it is insensitive to RNAi mediated by P{GD7563}.
