Cultured neurons from stage 11 Efa6GX6w+ embryos show a small but significant increase in axon length, as compared to controls. Growth cone filopodia seem to have more and more stable microtubules (increased number of microtubules, and longer EB1 comet lifetime), as compared to controls. The axon shaft shows significantly more filopodia with microtubules, as compared to controls.
