The inactivation of CG42260-expressing neurons by the inwardly rectifying potassium channel Kir2.1 (by expressing Hsap\KCNJ2UAS.EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4CG42260-MB01043) leads to ab3A neurons showing decreased response to olfactory stimulation by ethyl butyrate (i.e. fewer spikes/sec), as compared to controls.
