Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

BbdΔ homozygous adults are not morphologically different than controls.

BbdΔ homozygous adults exhibit increased mortality as a result of Candida glabrata, Fusarium oxysporum, Enterococcus faecalis (alive or heat killed) or heat-killed Micrococcus luteus but not Enterobacter cloacae infection when compared to controls.

The pathogen loads of early deaths for BbdΔ homozygous adults are not significantly different than controls. The pathogen load of late BbdΔ homozygous fly deaths is significantly lower than that of the early-death BbdΔ homozygotes and controls, and also significantly higher than that of live controls 120 hours post infection.
