TrpA1KO third instar larvae exhibit significantly reduced rolling in response to heat stimulation and significantly diminished writhing in response to exposure to UVC light or AITC (irritant chemical) compared to controls.

Expression of TrpA1UAS.C.cGa or TrpA1UAS.D.cGa under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG in the TrpA1KO background leads to decreased heat threshold of rolling behavior in third instar larvae compared to controls.
