Nucleotide change:

G13208275A

Amino acid change:

W83term | Pect-PB; W83term | Pect-PC; W83term | Pect-PD; W83term | Pect-PE

Reported amino acid change:

W83term

Comment:

G to A nucleotide change at the second or third position of the Trp codon leads to a nonsense mutation (exact site of mutation unspecified). Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase curator based on reported amino acid change.

Detailed Description

Electroretinogram (ERG) of adults containing eye-specific clones of Pect29 (in combination with Scer\FLP1[ey.PU]) exhibit persistence of light-evoked photoreceptor potential after the 20-s light stimulation and diminished ERG transients.

Adults containing eye-specific clones of Pect29 (in combination with Scer\FLP1[ey.PU]) exhibit gradual loss of photoreceptor cells and rhabdomeres when flies are reared in a constant dark or a light/dark cycle.

Adults containing eye-specific clones of Pect29 (in combination with Scer\FLP1[ey.PU]) exhibit disrupted synaptic vesicles in the lamina cartridge.

Additional Comments
Genetic Interactions
Statement
Reference

Expression of PisdGMR.PZ partially suppresses the ERG phenotype of Pect29 (in combination with Scer\FLP1[ey.PU]) in nine-day-old adults while it fails to suppress in one-day-old flies.
