      Unlike controls, Nup54QB62/Nup54QB62 and Nup54QB62/Df(2R)9B4 females still show receptivity to mate after injection with sex-peptide. Nup54QB62/Df(2R)9B4 exhibit highly penetrant neuron projection defects in the larval ventral nerve cord, with disrupted/missing connectives and commissures, as well as in the adult central brain, with some neurons with absent arborizations.

      Nup54QB62/Df(2R)9B4, Nup54QB62/Df(2R)BSC305 and Nup54QB62/Df(2R)Exel6061 females also exhibit egg retention after injection with sex-peptide.
