A 1.4kb region of the endogenous fru locus, extending from approximately 1kb upstream of the transcription start site of the P1 promoter to just before the end of the first exon, has been deleted and replaced by a sequence cassette that contains 1. a loxP cassette containing a Disc\RFPDsRed(T1).3xP3.cHa marker and 2. an attP site.
