In bumpel2, kumpel2 double homozygous females, oogenesis appears disrupted from stage 8, and no normal eggs are formed, and they cannot be fertilized. In bumpel2, kumpel2, rumpelΔ+Cherry triple homozygous females oogenesis is blocked at stage 8. Triple mutant third instar larvae show decreased crawling at elevated temperatures (32[o]C): reduced distance to origin, but faster movement, and altered bending behavior.
