An approximately 3.5kb genomic fragment from the ato 5' regulatory region (lies in between the 5'EYE and ato-RE enhancers) is fused upstream of a 1.1kb fragment that contains the ato promoter and 5'UTR, followed by sequence encoding GAL4.
