Description

The GMR34C03 enhancer fragment followed by the Drosophila synthetic core promoter (DSCP) is fused upstream of the p65(AD)::Zip+ hemidriver (component of a 'split driver' system, contains the p65 activation domain).

Description

The GMR18C11 enhancer fragment followed by the Drosophila synthetic core promoter (DSCP) is fused upstream of the GAL4(DBD)::Zip- hemidriver (component of the 'Split GAL4' system, contains the GAL4 DNA-binding domain).

In a split-GAL4 system, HsapRELAAD.R34C03 drives expression in antennal grooming descending neuron 1, antennal grooming brain interneuron 1, the optic lobe and the thoracico-abdominal ganglion when combined with ScerGAL4DBD.R71D01 and in antennal grooming descending neuron 1 when combined with ScerGAL4DBD.R18C11.

In a split-GAL4 system, ScerGAL4DBD.R18C11 drives expression in antennal grooming descending neuron 2, the prothoracic neuromere and lateral and dorsolateral parts of the brain when combined with HsapRELAAD.R76F12, in antennal grooming descending neuron 1 when combined with HsapRELAAD.R34C03 and antennal grooming descending neuron 2 when combined with HsapRELAAD.R76F12. Projections from antennal grooming descending neuron 2 were seen in close proximity to EcollexA[GMR26B12] expressing antennal grooming brain interneuron 2 and EcollexAGMR27H08 expressing zone C/E Johnston organ neurons. Positive GRASP (GFP reconstitution across synaptic partners) signals were seen between C/E Johnston organ neurons and ntennal grooming descending neuron 2 using these drivers.
