The Core Binding Factor-β (CBF-B) are the non-DNA binding partners of the CBF transcription complex. These proteins heterodimerize with Runt transcription factors and increase their affinity for DNA by altering the conformation of the Runt domain. (Adapted from FBrf0138356).
