Description
The prefoldin complex is a heterohexameric co-chaperone involved in the folding of proteins such as tubulin and actin. It binds the cytosolic chaperonin containing TCP-1 (CCT) complex and and transfers target proteins to it. (Adapted from FBrf0231608 and PMID:29427249).
