Source for identity of: rapid-exhaustion rex
The gene symbol "rex" has been changed to "rapid-exhaustion" in order to reduce confusion with the "Rex" ("Ribosomal exchange") gene symbol, from which it differed only by case.
Mutations of rex cause abnormalities in the electroretinogram (ERG) and/or prolonged depolarization after potential (PDA): slow recovery from the PDA. Mutations affect retinula cell physiology.
