Ectopic expression of Hsap\APC in developing flies affected both wg signaling and cell-adhesion. The targeted expression of Hsap\APC during leg development induced leg deformities, which extended from shortened legs to duplicated legs. The leg deformities were found enhanced by increasing the copy number of Hsap\APC inserts and in flies heterozygous for arm.
