Sema-2a binds PlexB with Kd of about 2nM. This binding does not require divalent metal ions. Sema-1a and Sema-1b do not bind to PlexB.

S2R+ cells expressing PlexB were mixed with conditioned medium of HEK293 cells containing an alkaline phosphatase (AP)-Sema-2a fusion protein. After an hour, binding was assayed by measuring the amount of AP bound to the cell surface.
