The following information accompanied stocks donated to the Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center by Robert Duronio, University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
M{8xHisTA.wt.RFP-.w-} carries eight copies of the histone gene repeat unit (His1, His2A, His2B, His3, and His4). Derived in FBrf0260395 using Cre-mediated excision to remove the w+ and RFP markers from the M{8xHisTA.wt}ZH-86Fb insertion (FBti0247933) of M{8xHisTA.wt} (FBtp0171067).
M{8xHisTA.wt.RFP-.w-}ZH-86Fb is a homozygous viable and fertile insertion on the third chromosome.
