Insertion lines from this collection were assessed for inclusion in the Gene Disruption Project collection.

A set of mutant stocks derived by insertional mutagenesis using the P-element construct P{PZ}; most lines have a lethal or sterile phenotype. The P{PZ} construct carries a ry[+] visible marker, Ecol\lacZ enhancer trap sequences, and bacterial sequences that allow plasmid rescue.

Expression observed in mitotically active tissues; none observed in larval salivary glands; none observed in larval ring glands.

Enhancer trap expression is observed in mitotically active tissues. In larvae, expression is observed in both optic lobes, in the ventral nerve cord, in imaginal discs, and in the salivary gland imaginal ring. In embryos, intense expression is observed in the developing central nervous system. Expression is also observed in the peripheral nervous system. Enhancer trap expression is also observed in germline tissues. Expression was detected in both male and female genital discs, in adult male testes in the spermatocytes, and in adult ovaries in germarium region 2.
