Insertion lines from this collection were assessed for inclusion in the Gene Disruption Project collection.
Enhancer trap expression is ubiquitous and nearly uniform after germ band extension. Especially high transcript levels are seen in proliferating CNS cells.
l(3)rM729
P{PZ}E2frM729 is inserted 48 nucleotides upstream of the E2f translation start and in the same orientation as E2f.
This insertion was listed in the BDGP database as a lethal or sterile line during the period 1994-1999, but was not verified as such prior to the summary publication (FBrf0111489). Reasons for excluding lines from the collection described in FBrf0111489 include presence of more than one P insertion on the mutant chromosome, separation of lethality (or sterility) from the location of the insertion, and loss of lethality (or sterility) from the stock.
