Target site for FLP1-recombinase-mediated targeted integration of FRT-bounded cassettes.

(Golic et al., 1997)

"Remnant" element generated by excision of FRT-flanked sequences upon exposure to FLPase. FRT site remains at chromosomal site of insertion. Used in conjunction with a reciprocal insertion of P{RS5r} to induce chromosomal rearrangements defined by the original sites of insertion.Some rearrangment classes can be selected by regeneration of mini-white marker in P{3\'.RS5+3.3\'}.
